The Coromega Omega-3 Supplement, Orange Flavor, Squeeze Packets seem to eliminate that problem for most. It’s packaged in convenient daily dose pudding-like squeeze packets. I personally like the taste of this and the lemon-lime variety (see below), but if one doesn’t, they can easily be mixed with blended drinks or added to yogurt. These Coromega products contain top quality fish oil from deep, cold-water fish, which is said to be the best kind.

It should also be noted that low levels of DHA (docosahexaenoic acid) have been connected to various forms of depression, ADD (attention deficit disorder) and Alzheimer’s disease. Various studies have revealed that brains of Alzheimer’s patients have 30 percent less DHA than brains of comparably aged people who do not have the disease.

A couple of years ago my optometrist advised that I take fish oil capsules on a daily basis to help ward off macular degeneration. For those who don’t know, this is a condition that occurs when the macula (the area at the back of the retina that produces the sharpest vision) weakens over time.

Age-related macular degeneration (AMD) is the most common cause of blindness among older adults in the US, and is said to affect over 7 million individuals older than 40 years. The frequency of AMD is likely to increase as the population ages. In any case, if your health care practitioner has suggested fish oil as a treatment, this product is a tasty alternative to the capsules. It can also be found in other flavors, such as Coromega Omega-3 Fish Oil, Lemon Lime, 90 ct and Coromega Omega-3 Supplement, Orange Flavor with a Hint of Chocolate, 90 packets.

There are “good” and “bad” fats, and Omega-3 fatty acids are considered one of the “good” fats important for cellular, heart and metabolic health, along with being good for the eyes. DHA is one of those fatty acids that help maintain a healthy heart and circulatory system, along with maintaining triglyceride levels already within a normal range.

There are healthy and tasty alternatives to the fish oil capsules for many of us… and without the fish oil burps.

Coromega comes in little daily dose squeeze packets that are convenient for travel and that keep it fresh for a long time (unlike some brands that go rancid easily). I carry some in my purse and sometimes take them before a meal out when I’m hungry but have to wait to eat, since they contain 20 calories. Even on an empty stomach, they cause me no digestive upset at all and I love the flavor. The orange is my favorite and doesn’t taste at all like fish, but has an orange-y creamsicle flavor. Even children will love this! In this video, I show how to take the Coromega straight from the package.

Coromega does contain eggs, so if you’re allergic, you should look for other sources of fish oil.

Well, I took the bait and bought this one, because it contains all 3 oils.

I simply expected better health like getting good blood work…but the results were far greater.

My skin and hair look fabulous i mean really fabulous. My hair grew about 2 1/2 inches (trust me, it was the supplements). I felt better. I even grew beautiful nails (as a former nail biter this is not an easy task for me).

I even lost weight (read Jorge Cruise’s 8 Minutes in the Morning to learn why a certain Omega oil does that)!

I have recommended this brand to my entire family, friends, and just about everyone with whom supplementation comes up.

As per usual, Amazon gets you a great deal for these for the price. They have several sizes.

If you have children, I recommend getting this brand (NOW) but the actual oil rather than the pills.

Watch them have beautiful hair, skin, nails, and teeth because of it.

Ladies, if you take this with prenatal vitamins people won’t recognize you after a few months.

I bought these after researching the benefits of Omega oil on mood and after reading “The Chemistry of Joy”, and found that scientific data supports that the optimum EPA to DHA ratio is 7:1, which is what this product has (1000mg EPA and 150mg DHA). The great thing about this product, is that it only contains Omega 3, which is anti-inflammatory. Inflammation is believed to contribute to depression and many heart-related diseases. If the suggested dose does not produce the relief desired, I recommend doubling the dose (taking 4 capsules per day–2 in the morning and two at night). There are studies that suggest that taking 4 grams of EPA over several weeks can significantly relieve depressive symptoms, especially for severe depression.

Due to our great consumption of corn-based products, American diet is excessively rich in Omega 6 (which promotes inflammation), thereby drastically altering the optimum Omega 6 to Omega 3 ratio. Therefore, Omega 3 supplement is needed to compensate for that difference. I suggest taking it with food, otherwise you might get “fishy” burps, although the taste is tolerable.

In summary, I would highly recommend this product to anyone wishing to relieve stress, depression, and anxiety, as well as to improve their overall health.

Best advice is to buy only one, and if you find that they are too large for you, contact the manufacturer via the website on the label. If enough people ask, they may come out with a smaller gelcap that everyone can successfully swallow.

I’ve tried breaking open the capsules and drinking the oil inside, but this may not be convenient as the oil tends to coat one’s mouth, it smells like fish, and the manufacturer cautions that the oil may burn — though I believe the oil is no more acidic than salad dressing.

Update: I’ve successfully swallowed these now, with water. The trick, told to me by a doctor friend, is that you should not tilt your head up as you’d expect. Rather, you should, if anything, tilt your head slightly down as you gulp. This works, though I’d still appreciate smaller gelcaps.
